“Dawning Slowly” – Project Hero Theme Song

Posted by & filed under Audio, Video & What's New, The Media.

This song was written by Stacy Waddell co-founder of ID-ologies in an effort to express the promise that each individual has to stand tall, take a stand against oppressive behavior and be the hero that is within each of us with our endless human potential.  Jessica Corcoran (vocals) and Amy Davis (Piano) made this project a reality by putting the words to music and their incredible musical gifts into action.  Sedona Legge (vocal melody) was there, in studio, to see the magic unfold along with Jeanette and me.  We thank you all for your unique gifts, passions and your desire to share them.

Dawning Slowly

Lyrics by Stacy Waddell
Music by Jessica Corcoran & Amy Davis

Who am I, do I really want to know
Silently I watch it go
Am I strong am I silent
How did I learn to be so?

Turn my back, close my eyes
No one will ever know
Take another path
Go another way, go another way

Dawning slowly, who I really want to be
Playing softly in the shadows
Dawning slowly, can I be the hero of my dreams
Is it all worth fighting for, do I know

The tallest flower on its stem
Value me for my glory
Don’t cut me down to your very size
The tallest has a story

Dawning slowly, who I really want to be
Playing softly in the shadows
Dawning slowly, can I be the hero of my dreams
Is it all worth fighting for?

Cause no notice, take no stand
I will always know
Views are shifting
Courage is coming now
Cause a change, take a stand
Quietly it goes day to night, dark to light

Who am I, I really want to know
Silently I watch it go
I am strong, I am silent
I have learned to be so
